Tutoring

I offer a free initial consultation, where I meet with you  (and your child if you choose)  to discuss your child’s strengths and needs.

A tutoring plan is established, to provide a baseline for developing a prescriptive plan to meet your child’s specific needs. A minimum of two sessions per week of one hour is required for dyslexia tutoring, in order to affect changes in the brain that are necessary to ensure long-term learning and retention. This intensity is integral to the O-G approach. I provide ongoing benchmarks and plan each lesson to meet your child’s specific needs. I do not just follow a “canned” sequence of pre-made lessons.

Maura

"I wanted to send you a wholehearted thank you. You have done such a great job with "student", we can see all the progress he's made and it's wonderful. As his mom it fills my heart with pure joy every time I hear him reading anything. He doesn't have to ask for help all the time and feels much more confident in picking up a book knowing he'll be able to sound out the words. In the past he'd say "I can't read mom" but not anymore!  I can honestly say that my kid can read is the best feeling in the world. And for that I can't thank you enough."
